Before coming to university, I was extremely nervous. Away from home, new people, a new city — everything felt unfamiliar and uncertain.

When I arrived at the hostel on the first day, my heart sank a little seeing the room. I missed home immediately. But then I started talking to a few guys in the hall — and it felt like I had known them for years.

I was worried about ragging, but the seniors didn’t do much. They had their fun for a bit, and after that everything settled down to normal.

First Lecture

Sitting in class on day one, the teacher was going so fast that I barely understood anything. But after class, one classmate shared his notes with me — and he became my first real friend at university.

The Biggest Lesson

When you leave home, life teaches you on its own. Nobody holds your hand — you have to walk yourself.

The first few days were tough. But looking back now, I wouldn’t trade that experience for anything. It made me stronger, more independent, and grateful for the friendships that grew out of that uncertainty.
